About us
Sent Om Cider is a small natural cider producer based in Saltsjöbaden, Sweden founded in 2018 by Axel Bäck and Klara Guthe Peterson.
The cider is natural and additive-free, inspired by the ancestral method where there is no dosage in the second fermentation in the bottle. Instead, we let nature create those beautiful bubbles on its own. We aim for a clear cider with a soft balance of acidity and sweetness.
The apples are hand-picked in late autumn, some from an organic apple orchard in Baskemölla, Sweden's south, and others near our home in Stockholm. We combine traditional Swedish apple varieties such as Cox Orange, Aroma, Ingrid Marie and Belle de Boskoop with intriguing wild apples.
An intense and careful selection of apples, as well as a long maturation period, are required for our cider.
We perform all stages of production by hand, including bottling, riddling, disgorging, and labeling. The fermentation is controlled by racking and low temperature in the cellar. During the cold winter months, the cider ferments slowly, and we usually bottle it in the spring. It sits on its lees for several months after bottling before riddling and disgorging.
Each year, approximately 2500 bottles are produced.
